Welcome to the 2014 National Stationery Show

For those of you that follow us on Instagram and Twitter, you may have seen the live walk through that we did of the 2014 Stationery Show this past Monday.  If not, click that Instagram link and you can see all of the 30+ photos we shared.  just wanted to share my favorite items from the day here for everyone to see.

Tattersall Journals

These Tattersall journals from OrangeArt are pretty cool.  I love the idea of having a notebook in my shirt pocket that is an exact match for the shirt that I’m wearing.  It would be even better if they had matching index cards too, but I wont push my luck. (Buy from OrangeArt)

Rhodia Ice

The Rhodia Ice line of pads was another cool product to see in person.  Although its hard to see in the pictures because they are really hard to photograph, the white covers with silver lettering look really awesome together.  These are hard to come by, I have not seen any of the usual retail suppliers with stock of these as of today.

Quo Vadis ME Journal with QR Codes

Another pretty awesome item at the Exaclair booth were these Quo Vadis Habana journals with QR codes printed on each corner.  The journal is called the ME Journal, with the “ME” standing for multimedia enhanced.  You can scan the QR code and have all kinds of files or multimedia presentations attached to you virtual notebook  These are not available yet, but according to Karen from Exaclair they will be soon, and the response to them at the show was pretty good.

Philip Dobler Leuchtturm1917

I was glad I stopped by the Leuchtturm1917 booth where I met  Philip Dobler .  Philip offered to custom imprint one of their awesome journals with my name, but then I decided that I’d rather have OSG than BMG on the cover and Phlip was more than happy to take his time setting this up.

LEUCHTTURM1917 OSG Initials

Within a few minutes I had a nicely imprinted OSG Leuchtturm1971 Journal on my hands, compliments of Philip.

Ardium Classic Notebook

Sadly these Ardium Classic Notebooks are not available anywhere yet because the manufacturer is still looking for US distributors, which tends to be the case with a lot of the cool items displayed at the National Stationery Show.  These large tomes measure close to 2″ thick and just look really cool with their leather-look and feel covers that also have a great deal of texture on them.

Rustico Booth of Leather and Wool Goods

One of my other favorite things I came across was the line of Rustico leather and wool products that consist mostly of notebooks and various cases/wallets.  The products have a great look and feel to them and are all made in the US which is always nice.

These were just a few quick highlights of my favorite items, but be on the lookout for reviews of these and other products. Check out our Instagram for the rest of the photos if you missed the live posting of our walk-through.  There will definitely be some upcoming reviews of products not highlighted here or on Instagram though, so keep an eye out for those.

We had a lot of fun sharing as we walked along and getting feedback from everyone too.  Looking forward to doing it again, and maybe also hitting the DC Pen show in a similar way.
