If you can master the technique I’m about to share with you, you will always have hundreds of hungry web visitors thirsting for your knowledge and more importantly interested in your products or service. You will have ultimately created the perfect wealth formula. There are tons of ways to drive traffic to a website, but for our purposes here today in this article, we are going to focus on article writing. Writing content rich articles is exactly what Google, Yahoo and MSN and other popular search engines are looking for. If you are not sure how search engines work, here’s the nuts and bolts version. When you write a good informative article either explaining or reviewing a particular product or service, then submit that article to hundreds of article directories, it’s going to do two things for your website. Number one, drive targeted traffic. Number two, increase PR (Page Rank) that will establish you as an authority within your “niche” market.

Before you go out and submit an article to just any directory, it’s important to understand which article directories the popular search engines like Goggle favor. Following are a condensed list of reputable article directories that seem to give me more exposure: EzineArticles, ArticleDashboard, SearchWarp

, Buzzle, ArticleCity, BusineesKnowHow, and ArticlesFactory. Remember, this is a condensed list. There are many other directories that are very reputable and recognized by the major search engines. Submitting to these directories with higher PR gives your article more credibility, hence more exposure. Additionally, after you have a content rich article, typically you are allowed to place a link back to your site in the “resource box” or “About the Author” box. If you want to SEO your article for a particular keyword and have it rank higher, instead of using a generic link, use a hyperlink with the keyword you are trying to target. For example, if your business focuses on selling marketing strategies, then you would hyperlink your site in the resource box using that keyword “marketing strategies.” Google recognizes this as anchor text and tends to rank your website higher for that particular keyword.

Lastly, writing an article every few weeks begins to build your credibility with potential buyers within your niche market. Checking your article for relevant content related to your business, submitting them to the right article directories and giving away value within your article could potentially generate large influxes of web traffic. In the end, you have created a relationship with the reader and possibly someone that’s willing to do business with you.
