Article writing is the best way to get started with your online writing. Once you get into the habit of writing an article every day, you can then begin to turn these articles into blog posts, short reports, and, finally, eBooks. It all begins with your idea for your article. Articles are the building blocks of all the writing done on the internet. The best way to get started is to make a list of your ideas. I like to keep a notepad with me at all times. At the end of each day I clear off my desk and leave my notes right next to the computer. That way I have my ideas ready first thing in the morning so I can start writing an article and submit it to the article directory before 8 or 9 in the morning.
I set a goal for myself back in 2007 to write 100 articles in 100 days. This was a great way for me to become disciplined and to find the topics that interested me the most. Unfortunately, I was unable to write one hundred articles in one hundred days – it took me only 78 days! After that I was unstoppable. I am now headed for 800 articles and it has only been a year and a h
alf since I first began writing. I have built a list and now write about my passion, which is teaching others to be successful by building an online business. Your article’s title should include the keywords that best describe what information you will be including in the article. People are using the search engines for the exact topics they are looking for, so if you can include these words in your title your article will be found much more easily. The article summary describes what your article is about. It will only be two or three sentences long, so you must be very clear and concise and attempt to entice the reader to continue reading the remainder of what you have written.
At the very end of the article you will include some information about yourself, what you do and what you have to offer. This is the perfect opportunity to invite your readers to visit your website or blog and to offer them a free audio recording or short report on your topic. This gives you a chance to turn a reader of your article into a visitor and finally a client. And all of this can be achieved by simply writing and submitting articles regularly on your niche topic.
