Most of you who are frequent visitors to this blog, or any of the other awesome stationery blogs out there are well aware of the Baron Fig Confidant journal. It has been a very popular and high quality offering, and recently the folks at Baron Fig released two new sizes of the popular hard cover Confidant journal. What you are looking at above is the pocket size and the plus size version of the Confidant journals (via Baron Fig) which were sent to me for review by our friends over at Baron Fig.
They both come in two colors, light gray and charcoal. The pocket size Confidant you are looking at above is the light gray colorway. It measures 3.5 inches by 5 inches and has 160 pages of paper. The paper in mine is the dot grid ruling, but is also available in blank or ruled formats. There is also a nice and brightly contrasting yellow ribbon page finder within the journal.
The larger Plus version measures 7 inches by 10 inches and in my case is shown in the Charcoal color version. It has the same bright yellow ribbon page finder but instead has 208 pages snuggled between the nice looking and tactile feeling hard cover. It also has the same dot grid, blank, and ruled page formats as the pocket version.
Just like the previous Flagship size (5.5 inches by 7.4 inches) version of the Confidant, these also have a lay flat binding that works pretty nicely. The overall quality and craftsmanship of the Confidant line of journals between the original Flagship version and these new pocket and plus versions is outstanding. To me the Plus version is the overall winner of the group. Something about the large size and significant heft make me feel like I’m about to start writing some seriously important stuff. Either way though, you cant go wrong with any of the three sizes of the Confidant from Baron Fig. Check ’em out here on the Baron Fig website.
