The HTC Imagio has the ability to create and edit in Word and Excel and view Power Point documents. Users can also enjoy WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth technology and Windows Media Player. Although the HTC Imagio has many remarkable features, many see the addition of Windows Mobile 6.5 as a drawback of this smartphone.

The Palm Pre is the most recent smartphone available from Sprint. The Pre includes a vertically oriented slide out QWERTY keyboard, a 3.1 inch touch screen and webOS, and Palm’s Linux operating system. Other features of this smartphone are a 3.2 megapixel camera with an LED flash, media player, web browser, and WIFi. The best thing about the Pre is its excellent multitasking capability. Although its battery power tends to be consumed quickly and must be re-charged fairly often, the battery is replaceable by the user (unlike the Apple iphone 3G). The main disadvantage of this smartphone is that there is no video recording capability.

The BlackBerry Tour 9630, the latest and best BlackBerry, has already become quite popular with BlackBerry fans. This smartphone includes 3G technology, a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and flash, internet browser, media player and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The QWERTY keyboard is spacious and very user-friendly. The main shortcoming of this phone is that it does not include WiFi capabilities. Users may also not be satisfied with the smaller, 2.6 inch touchscreen.

The LG enV Touch is a clamshell style smartphone with a 3 inch external touch screen, an internal 3 inch screen and a QWERTY keyboard. Other features include a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and flash, a 3.5 mm headset jack, document reader, Bluetooth and web browser. Since this smartphone opens sideways, the QWERTY keyboard is full size with widely spaced keys for user ease. Users, however, may be disappointed that, like the BlackBerry Tour 9630, there is no WiFi capability offered.

It is difficult to say which QWERTY keyboard phone is best. As more QWERTY keyboard phones continue to flood the market with more advanced features and applications, it will only become increasing more difficult to select your next QWERTY keyboard phone.
