Brownie baker enjoying taste of success

I’m a big fan of the chocolate brownie, so I was pleased to hear this week at entrepreneur Vicky Critcher made a break through in the major retail market as she launched her homemade Welsh chocolate brownies to thousands of new customers at 50 Tesco stores throughout Wales.

The supermarket giant has agreed to run an introductory price promotion at its Welsh stores until the end of September to launch the packs of 12 bite-size white chocolate chunk brownies from The Chocolate Brownie Company.

Vicky, who runs the successful company from her home near Cardiff, will also run a series of in-store tasting events for customers at Tesco’s major stores during the promotion.

The brownies contain no preservatives, additives or artificial colours, and have a 17-day shelf life. They also contain 70% dark Belgian chocolate, which accounts for their “rich, fudgy flavour.”

Sounds good to me, I’m off on the next train to Cardiff!
