The price of motoring is hitting an all time high and driving your car or any road vehicle is becoming more and more expensive for petrol, and car tax and insurance. Road car tax based on high C02 emission rates could soon hit over £400, this may controversially include the less sophisticated, older cars especially with the price of oil increasing fuel costs that reach record levels. Insurance premiums are predicted to rise. Drivers are fined, tolled and taxed more than ever before.

The most environmentally friendly vehicles, such as electric and hybrid cars, will be exempt from road tax. Car tax bands and car tax prices will be banded, band A & B will not be charged increased taxes, while the others (the majority), will be subject to the increased car tax rates.
