There’s nothing better than have a nice juicy cheeseburger or veggie burger for the vegetarians out there, and a nice helping of French fries. Of course a tall glass of water would be the obvious beverage of choice. But why be healthy when something as tasty as a cookies ‘n’ cream milkshake exists?

A cookies n’ cream milkshake is just a regular milkshake with some pizzazz! Here’s a quick recipe for a tasty cookies ‘n’ cream recipe.

What you will need:

  • Blender
  • 1 tall glass
  • Ice cream scoop
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • Hand mixer

Milkshake Ingredients:

  • 6 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream
  • 2 tablespoons of Chocolate syrup (optional)
  • 6 chocolate cream-filled sandwich cookies
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/3 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Chocolate Whipped Cream Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar

Cookies ‘N’ Cream Milkshake Directions:

1. Chill the glass from your blender and the glass you will be serving your milkshake in.

2. Remove the ice cream from your freezer. It’s better to use the ice cream straight from the freezer. If you let the ice cream soften beforehand, your milkshake might end up looking like soup. If you have trouble scooping out the ice cream, simply dip your ice cream scoop in a cup of hot water.

3. Add half of your milk to the ice cream in the blender. Mix the milk and ice cream until they are blended well together. Skim milk will not work well with this recipe, but if you’re watching your weight feel free to use it.

4. Add the other half of the milk, the semi-sweet chocolate chips and the chocolate sandwich cookies.
If you want to spice things up a tad, substitute the chocolate cream-filled cookies with chocolate mint-filled cookies.

5. Blend ingredients until your milkshake is a smooth consistency. If your shake appears to be too thick, you can always add more milk.

6. Drizzle the inside of your serving glass with the chocolate syrup as a garnish. This step is not mandatory.

7. Pour milkshake in the glass and serve.

Chocolate Whipped Cream Directions (optional):

1. Chill your mixing bowl 30 minutes prior to making your milkshake. Chilling your bowl beforehand makes whipping the cream faster and easier.

2. Pour your whipping cream and cocoa powder into your mixing bowl.

3. Use a hand mixer to blend your cocoa powder and whipping cream on low speed.

4. Add a tablespoon of granulated sugar to your whipping cream right before you reach ’stiff peak’ mode.

5. Add a dollop of your chocolate whipped cream on top of your milkshake.

You can also top your milkshake with some chopped nuts or a maraschino cherry.
