You have just built your first website, now then what? What do you think you should be doing right now to let people know, provably the whole world at that, about your new website? A simple answer to that is through an article marketing campaign. It is easy but can be time consuming at times. If you are not quite sure how it is done then let me explain it to you as quickly as I can. What you need to do is to write an article, preferably on the same subject or topic as your own website. Then you need to submit that article to the article directories that you can find all over the internet. But for this to succeed, you have to make sure that you did a good job with the article itself. The initial step would be a keyword research that should be aimed at a topic similar to your own website. This is to satisfy what search engine optimization experts call as the relevancy factor in optimization. There are both paid and free keyword tools that you can use, that choose the one that you are most comfortable with. Aim to get just two keywords from your research. You will then use these keywords to optimize your article.

After you have selected your two keywords your next step

would be to write a title for your article. But you should ensure that your title will be attractive or even intriguing so that people would easily notice it and want to read the body of your article. As to the keyword, choose from the two your main keyword and then place it in the article. Just make sure it does not ruin the effect that you want to get from your article. You should also place the keyword at least twice within the rest of the article including the other keyword. Then go ahead and continue writing the rest of the body of your article keeping in mind that you are writing to either entertain or inform your target audience. You should write a very good article that would want the reader to go look at the author or resource box so he could learn more about you, the one who had written the article. And since in the resource box you would be allowed to place a link or two to your website, the reader may want to click on it and eventually learn more about you on your own site. Now that is the main reason article marketing is popular with many online businessmen or internet marketers.
