FlipIt Lunch

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I feel a little guilty about being away from my desk when I know someone has been looking for me during the day.  The FlipIt is a pretty inexpensive and easy way to let your co-workers know where you are so they can have a little bit of insight into when you might be back.

FlipIt Front

Not sure that its necessary, but the front of the FlipIt status updater is really just dedicated to branding.  I guess I understand why this is here though and you certainly aren’t required to display it.

FlipIt Vacation

As you flip through the FlipIt status updater you will see that the thick plastic tiles that measure 2″ x 1.5″ each tile is a different color.

FlipIt Out of Office

Some of the messages are a bit more vague as to when you might be returning, but for the “Vacation” and “Out of Office” options, its a safe bet that your co-workers won’t be back looking for you for at least another day.

Break time! Maybe you don’t really want to announce this one so prominently.

FlipIt Meeting

Meetings…yeah, this would probably be on permanent display in my situation, might as well throw out all of the other options.

FlipIt Base

The base of the FlipIt status updater measures 3″ x 1″ and is held in place by some simple adhesive tape on the bottom.  You can pretty much attach this to any smooth flat surface including a desk, cube wall, computer monitor, or even the top or side of a door frame, although that might inhibit opening/closing the door, so be careful how you do it.  Anyway, for a relatively small price, the FlipIt desk status updater is a pretty easy way to let your co-workers know where you are, and makes for a fun conversation starter for your desk as well.
