Every great party needs fun adult party games to keep things lively and active. It also helps build relationships and friendships among those who were in the past just acquaintances. Here are three suggestions for your next adults only party.

Kiss Craps

A game of kiss-craps only works right if there are six and only six participants. Ideally, you want an even mix of genders, so try it with 3 guys and 3 girls. Give people a number from 1 to 6, and grab a pair of dice out of the kitchen drawer, or wherever you keep them. Once the numbers have been assigned, player number one will roll the dice. One dice will represent facial regions; let’s say 1 for nose, 2 for lips, 3 for cheeks, 4 for forehead, 5 for cheek, and 6 for the top of the head. The other dice will correspond to each of the six players.

So if Todd is number three, and player one rolls a one and a three, he or she will have to plant one on Todd’s nose. This can make for some rather interesting pairings, especially when alcohol is involved, though it doesn’t necessarily have to be. Everyone gets a turn or six, depending on the amount of liquor consumption, and how it affects your ability to count. Homophobes need not apply, unless, again, there is enough alcohol involved.

Liar, Liar

Nothing ruins a fun adult party game faster than overly complex rules and a slew of essential supplies. That’s why I like the “Liar, Liar” game so much. It’s a super-fun way of getting to know your acquaintances better. If everyone at the party is super-close, you may wish to play something else; on the other hand, it can be fantastic fun if you open your vaults a little bit.

Here’s what you do: give everyone an index card. Tell them to write two lies and one truth on the card about themselves. Stick the cards in a hat or bowl and pull them randomly. Read out each of the statements. If you wish to make it competitive, have a mediator do all of the reading, and break into two groups with only one minute to decide on a final answer. Couples should probably stay on the same team to prevent cheating. Winners are determined by the most correct answers.

Ball to Chin

First off, get your mind out of the gutter. This game involves two participants, who stand against one another with a ball between them. Some form of small rubber ball works great, but you could also try it with a tennis ball. With hands behind the back, the couple tries to get the ball all the way up to their chins by using rotary movements. Deodorant, body spray, cologne, perfume…wear it!

There are dozens of more great ideas for fun adult party games, and it’s up to you to know the personalities and sensibilities of each guest. Make sure you don’t pick something out that will offend anyone present, but don’t be afraid to let loose. Do your research, and above all, have a great time!
