Due to the frequent change of elevation through the course you will find play can be deceiving. The West golf course does not provide a golfe
r with an easy game; instead golfers will have to contend with the natural storm gullies known as barrancas. The front nine demand accuracy when driving to avoid these hazards whilst the back nine becomes more open up amongst the hills but beware as it is again challenging to the golfer to produce a fantastic enjoyable round of golf. The North Golf Course The North Golf Course was originally designed and created in 1971 by Robert Dean Putman. At par 71 this championship 18 hole course has been completely renovated in 2000-2001. Many golfers feel that the North Golf Course is the highlight of the golf at the Club. The undulating championship course is played between the hazardous palm trees, lakes and water hazards. Offering a different but no less challenging round of golf, the more undulating North Course adds a great golfing experience to your stay at the Club. The layout of the North Course shows that precision and accuracy is the fundamental aspect rather than length. Ravines have been strategically placed around the course that can be avoided by laying up. Being slightly more undulating, shorter and with narrow fairways and large greens compared to the South Course; spectacular views can be seen across the the Resort from the highest point on the course, the 4th tee. The South Golf Course The South Golf Course at La Manga Club was originally designed by Robert Putman in 1971. Since then the golf course has been subsequently redesigned by Arnold Palmer in 1992. From this remodel, the south course was completely refurbished with maintenance during 2004 to ensure the course always provides the finest high standards. The championship South golf course at La Manga Club is thought to be one of the more fairer challenges with a more classical design. This top calibre championship course provides an enjoyable but thorough test to both the professional and novice player.
Found located in the centre of the valley, the South Golf Course at La Manga features water hazards on 15 of the 18 holes present. The wide palm tree lined fairways only feature few hidden dangers throughout the course.
