How to Get a Woman off Your Mind

As men we’ve all had those women in our lives that we just can’t stop thinking about. Whether it’s because we’re infatuated, we’re deeply in love, or we just can’t stand them (or some combination of all three of these) makes no never mind because they’re still distracting. However it’s easier than most men think to clear your mind and get your head screwed on straight again. Especially if you have some time and you know what works for you.

One of the easiest ways to get a woman off your mind is to get some exercise. Whether you prefer jogging, lifting weights, yoga, or some other exercise regimen entirely doesn’t matter. The point is that if you’re working your body hard, the physical sensation should take over your concentration. You begin to focus on your breathing, the strain in your muscles, and the sensation of expending energy. Oftentimes this is also a cleansing experience, and once you’re done washing up after your work out you can think about the woman in a much more productive way than you could before.

Meditation is another, and often overlooked method for helping to keep a woman out of your thoughts. For those men who haven’t been exposed to meditation as a tool it may take some practice to make it work. The goal is to relax yourself, and to focus on certain thoughts or phrases to the exclusion of anything else. Often people will chant a mantra, or listen to a recording of one, to help them focus their mind. It’s important to be comfortable when meditating, and it should be done in a quiet spot that’s conductive to concentration. If you have the privacy and the space, put on comfortable clothes and consider burning some incense in order to make achieving the proper state of physical relaxation easier.

Another option for getting a woman off your mind is to go out and do something you enjoy. For instance; take a walk in the park, go to the beach, or have a night out with some friends at a bar or restaurant. The particular activity doesn’t matter as long as it’s something that you like doing, and more importantly it’s something that isn’t connected to the woman that you’re trying to forget. Avoid activities or places that will remind you of the woman you’re trying not to think about, and if you’re spending time with people who know her then request in advance that no one talk about her while you’re around.

These are only a handful of possible solutions of course. You could go get a massage, go out for a night on the town, build a sail boat in your garage, play a game of basketball… every man will find his own personal solution that works best for him. But it’s important to remember that just because one idea may fail that’s no reason to give up. If what you need to do is focus, and to have some time away from even the thought of a certain woman in your life then you should keep trying until you’ve managed to achieve that peace of mind.
