They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
For most who have a sweet tooth for wild living, this is probably a good thing. But when it comes to whom you spend the rest of your life with, it is another story all together. Nobody wants the greatest moment of their lives to get sucked into the Nevada desert.
That is why if you are going to Vegas and planning to pop the question, there are a variety of interesting ways to pull it off. For one, you will want it to be unexpected. Two, you will want to incorporate the city into your moment. Why else would you need to go to Vegas if you did not plan on using the sights and sounds to make the moment special?
Once you commit to taking a wedding vacation, here are four methods for how to propose in Vegas:
The Restaurant Proposal
Check out the Eiffel Tower restaurant if you really want to deliver a moment that will set yours apart from the average proposal. Located at Paris, take the glass elevator up for a breathtaking view of the Bellagio Fountains. If you can manage it, hit the outdoor patio for a private moment she will remember (and brag about) for the rest of your lives together.
The Helicopter Proposal
Make use of the helicopter tours offered through Vegas for your special moment. Venture out to the Grand Canyon and make use of one of the great wonders of our world for a view and a moment as beautiful and radiant as the first time you looked in her eyes. With a helicopter proposal, you will give her a story to make her friends jealous. Just make sure she is not afraid of heights first!
The Gondola Proposal
For a change of pace, you may wish to slow things down with a moonlit ride on a gondola. Sail out of Lake Las Vegas, wait for the right moment, and then, under star-and-city lights, give her the traditional one knee request. One of the best ways to propose in Vegas, it will guarantee you a “yes” even if she hates you…well, maybe not if she hates you, but it is still pretty hard to say no to.
The ATV Proposal
What if she has a little tomboy in her? She may not be the type that melts under a crescent moon, or loses her breath at the sights and sounds of the city. If she can hang with the boys, then taking her out on the Hidden Valley ATV tour can combine friendly competition and the beauty of rugged natural terrain with a moment she will always cherish. Just be a good sport if she can work the ATV better than you!
It is a moment that will define the rest of your lives together. Make sure you share it in a way that is special to you both. Las Vegas offers attractions for everyone, and is the perfect place for you to pop the question. Just make sure this is one thing that happens in Vegas that does not stay there.
