The I Hate Everything Journal

I feel like I’m cheating a little bit with this post, and I hate that, but I didn’t see this I Hate Everything Journal until AFTER I bought the I Hate Everything Page a Day Calendar a few weeks ago.  Since I loved (and still do) the calendar so much I wanted to share the journal with you as well, which is much more interactive and surprisingly fun….for something so full of hate.

I LOVE the HATE for Hating Pencils

The I Hate Everything Journal had me right from the start with its hating for the use of pencils because I’m totally on board with that, except for my not hating the best pencil ever, the Uniball Kuru Toga.  Considering this was on one of the very first pages, I knew that this journal had plenty of other great things in store for me.

Things I Hate Today

The journal gives you a fair amount of ruled pages with the header “Things I Hate Today” with a spot for the date.  This is great so you can track the things you hate on a daily basis, just in case you forget how much you hated things on a particular day.  TodayI was twice  thrice reminded that I HATE the Stamps.com commercial with the incredibly moronic guy that says “There’s nothing worse than going to the post office and waiting in line.”  Really, nothing worse than that dude?  Either you are an idiot, or a trip to your local post office immediately strikes you with horrible incurable and crippling diseases upon arrival…I have a feeling that isnt the case, but hey, what do I know?  I hate you and your pathetic life where the worst thing you ever do is wait in the line at the post office…hold on while I go cry for you and your horrible life of waiting in line at the post office, Jeff W.

Hey Jeff W., I Hate YOU…and that you made me type the word “thrice” up there.

So…um…anyway, if this blank slate approach doesn’t work so well for you and you need a little nudge or reminder on some of the things that you hate, don’t worry, this journal has you covered with some great ideas there as well!  I wont spoil all of the fun for you, but here are a few of them.

Space for a List of all the Movies You Hate

With reminders such as this one shown above, “Movies I Hate” I found myself quickly heading to IMDB to grab a list of all of Quentin Tarantino’s films so I could quickly start loading up this page.  While I contemplated Johnny Depp’s movie career, I decided to flip ahead to see what other things the journal was going to remind me that I hated, and I wasn’t disappointed with all of the great suggestions and reminders.

Things I Hate to Do

This is another of those lists that could probably go on and on, and it almost makes me think that I hate to make lists of things I hate because it makes me angry to realize how much stuff I hate.  This is probably one of those pages that you will find yourself coming back to regularly as you start a task and realize that it totally belongs on this page, but who knows, maybe one day you can learn to like something and actually cross it off this list?  No, probably not, huh?

Anyway, like I said, this I Hate Everything Journal is a fantastic companion to the previously reviewed daily calendar of the same theme.  I promise to tone down the hate a bit from here on out and this will be the last item in this line of products that I will review…even though I do really love these things.  I’ll get back to the usual suspects like more traditional, but cool office supplies.  I’ve actually got two different pencil reviews coming up that are pretty cool…regardless of what my former angry self said in the beginning of this review. simple-smile-1058079
