Staples KeyNotes Page Markers
A few weeks ago I was at my local Staples and I came across these unique and interesting looking mix of paper clips and flags called keynotes. I figured I’d grab them to take a closer look and do a review. By the time I got to doing the review though, Staples no longer had them on their website. Here is the unbranded version on Amazon where they also have a ton of different colors and designs.
The Staples KeyNotes in a Sturdy Plastic Case
The KeyNotes are essentially paper clips that have a pretty sturdy cardboard flag loosely attached to them. The cardboard is about the same thickness as your average index cards, and in this case they come in a variety of colors. Each of these measures about .75 inches at the widest point, and they are about 2.25 inches long.
Staples KeyNotes in a Black n’ Red Notebook
The most obvious use for the keynotes was to stick them in my notebook to act as dividers for different subjects. In doing so I found that they went in fairly easily, however it was not as easy to adjust them by sliding them up and down as I thought it would be. When I tried to adjust the vertical position of them, I found that the paper clip portion separated easily from he cardboard portion. This is not really a huge issue but more of a minor nuisance. I think these would probably also make for a good way to separate index cards in any kind of holder, like a recipe box or old school way to manage your contacts. Not a bad product, but not a great product either. As I said before though you can check them out here on Amazon in all kinds of different styles.
