Retro 51 Tornado Homerun Package

Today we have the announcement of our winner for the Limited Edition Retro 51 Tornado Homerun (via Goldspot)s well as a few runners up for some other goodies based on the favorite players that they guessed.  First though a big thanks to our friends at Goldspot for not only sponsoring the giveaway, but also providing the review sample for our review of this awesome limited edition pen.

Additionally, although nobody guessed my favorite baseball player ever, there were two great mentions that I’m going to go ahead and count as “close enough” for some additional yet to be determined prizes. Overall though there were a ton of great other names mentioned too that not only brought back some good memories, but also forced me to do some Googling and learn a little bit more about my favorite sport and its amazing history, so thanks to everyone that shared their favorites!

For the first winning guess, Anthony R named Derek Jeter…considering he is my second favorite player this was close enough for me, but surprised only one person picked him.

Although I always have been and always will be a Yankee fan, Brantley named Eric Davis who is my favorite non-Yankee player…probably because he reminds me of my all time favorite player, who we will maybe save for another giveaway.
