Tylt VU Charger Number Two
Not too long ago we reviewed the Tylt Vu Qi Wireless charger (via Amazon), and it quickly became one of our favorite products. You can check out the review here, but nothing speaks to the quality and usefulness of an item like the urge to buy a second one so I can have one at work and at home. That’s exactly what I did with the Tylt VU, however at the original price of about $70 I was hoping to be able to do so at a better price. Lets take a quick look at two different ways to do this, because I was able to grab one of these at $55 instead of $70 using one of the below methods.
See that? Amazon lets you know when prices of items you have “saved for later” change, both up and down.
For those of you that didn’t know, there are two ways that you can keep an eye on the price of items that you would like to buy, but are willing to wait for a better price on. Above you can see a screen shot of what it looks like for the Pilot Precise V5 RT on Amazon if you load up your cart with them and pick the “save for later” option. They will just sit there waiting for you to decide to move them to your cart. Amazon is kind enough (more like smart enough because it makes them money) to notify you via the messaging above that an item you were interested in changed prices now. In this example the Precise V5 RT has dropped from $22.40 to $16.90 for a box of 12, which is a pretty good deal.

Another option is to check out the Android, iPhone and web based app/plugin for your browser called CamelCamelCamel which tracks and notifies you of price reductions of items you are interested in. It will even email you when a certain price threshold is met. The chart in the upper right of the image above shows the price history so you can decide where you want to set price alerts or if the item has ever dropped to a price that would make you consider it if it reaches there again. I’ve picked up a few items at much better prices using both of these methods, so I wanted to share with everyone here to hopefully save you a few bucks.
