I came across two very cool products that are currently being funded on Kickstarter, so I wanted to share them quickly, although I don’t have any samples to review yet. One is the IPX-PRO Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy Notebook Cover, and the other is the Mycestro 3D Mouse.
IPX Metal Notebook Covers
First up are these pretty nice looking Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy Notebook Covers that will fit a ton of different notebooks. These are brought to you by our friends Joe and Chadwick who you may remember from their excellent pen/stylus combo that take refills from many of your favorite pens. These notebooks are similar in that they fit a ton of different notebooks, and an interesting aspect is that with their low profile hinges and metal covers, they might help some of your favorite notebooks lay flat when open more easily. I’m looking forward to finding this out for myself. Check out the Kickstarter page for the IPX Metal Notebook Covers and pledge to back this project if you have some extra cash burning a hole in your pocket because these look pretty awesome. As of the time I’m writing this they have 307 backers that have contributed $22,521 of the $50,000 goal with 33 days left to go. I’ll definitely be doing my part with hopes of getting some of these in my hands one day for a hands on review.
Next up is an incredibly cool and innovative mouse for your computer. The video above does a good job of explaining it in more detail, but simply put, its a mouse that attaches to your index finger and connects via Bluetooth. This item has already blown past its funding goal of $100,000 and actually almost doubled it at $196,497 with 2,343 backers. Check out the Kickstarter page for the Mycestro 3D mouse. Ill definitely be funding this one as well, I think it would make an excellent addition to my Windows Media Center PC that I use for my TV and DVR watching…or to be more honest and up front, I can be SO much more lazy when I watch TV with this thing because I wont have to get up from the couch on the few occasions where I need to control the computer through something other than my Logitech Harmony One Remote.
