Some nicely styled and designed magnets from OXO Good Grips

The OXO Good Grips™ Small Magnets are a great little office supply that just about everyone could benefit from having at their desk.  Between all of the magnetic white boards, cabinets and other metallic surfaces, it’s always helpful to have some magnets handy, and after having used these for a few weeks now, they seem to be a great option.

The OXO Good Grips magnets are pretty colorful

One of the few things I dont typically like about OXO Good Grips products is that they usually tend to lack any color, most of them are just black and chrome, which I do think looks nice, but the little bit of color that they added with these magnets is a very nice touch.  It is hard to tell from the photos here, but in the colored rubber coating on these is the same as the grip for their other products, it’s a soft rubber that makes for an easy way to hold onto the item.

Strong enough to hold up six standard size business cards

These magnets from OXO are pretty small, but they are surprisingly strong, the photo above shows the magnets ability to stick through 6 standard business cards.  In addition to holding firm through the thickness of six business cards, there is also a decent amount of weight associated with them, and the magnet was strong enough to hold them up without sliding down the surface of the dry erase board they were affixed to. If you are looking for some nicely designed, and good quality magnets for your cube, desk, kitchen, or wherever, these are a nice looking option.  Unfortunately they are only available at Staples, since this is part of the line of office supplies that OXO designed exclusively for them.  I guess this shouldnt be a problem since most of us have a Staples near us, but its always nice when you have more than one option.  In addition to the small size, they also offer a larger size, so check out your local Staple’s, and if you do it by 11/26/09 you can get 40% off of these and some other OXO Good Grips office supplies.

OXO Good Grips Magnets

I posted a picture of the package above so you can know what you are looking for if you are out shopping at your local Staple’s because these are not super easy to find.  I found them by accident when I was there because they were actually in their own display at the front of the store, but off to the side not in a high traffic area, and not with other items in the same category.

This was kind of a short post today, but I’ve been doing lots of work and research to dig up some good holiday and Black Friday deals to post over the next few days, so keep an eye out for those.
