I had my eye on the Levenger Lapreader a while ago, but completely forgot about it until I saw it on sale over at the Levenger site. I think the sale ended yesterday, so sorry for not getting this posted earlier but I thought it was definitely still worth a review. … [Read more…]
Most of you are probably aware that Brad from The Pen Addict now has his own line of pen cases under the Nock Co. brand name, so today we are going to take a closer look at one of them, the Hightower. The Hightower is a bi-fold pen case with space for three pens on the left side plus a few notebooks on the right side. I should also mention the other co-founder of Nock Co. is Jeffrey Bruckwicki who brought his design and textile skills to the table to … [Read more…]
If you haven’t heard already, our friend Brad from The Pen Addict Blog has a Kickstarter Project under way for his awesome new Nock Co Pen Cases. With Brad’s well deserved reputation as the internet’s biggest pen expert, its no surprise to see that the Kickstarter project which had a modest goal of raising $5,000 has far surpassed that threshold. As I write this, the project has just over $37,000 funded by almost 1,000 supporters. Before we dig in to … [Read more…]
Lately Kickstarter has been full of new and innovative pens, but one thing that has been lacking is a good pen case. Designer Alicia Klein has filled that void though with the introduction of her Perfect Pen Case. I have to say the name alone makes marketing sense if you are targeting people looking for the perfect pen case. … [Read more…]
I very recently upgraded my pencil case to this Nomadic PE-06 Side Zipper version from JetPens, and I couldn’t be more pleased about my decision to do so. A few months ago I started out on a mission that I thought would be an easy one. I was looking for a nice mens wood valet to hold all of my pens, watches, and glasses. Sounds simple enough, right? I’m here to tell you that it was not nearly as easy to find as I thought it would be. I spent weeks searching online, and emailing people and I was unable to find anything other than some really cheap looking options that looked like they were slapped … [Read more…]
The other day I was checking out ThinkGeek.com because I know they usually have some fun and unique office supplies there, and next thing I knew I had loaded up my cart with a bunch of stuff, so expect to see some reviews of their stuff over the next few days, starting with this review of the Dead Fred Pen Holder. I’ve seen around before, and they also have knife holders like this which have a bit more shock value, but the pen holder is pretty cool … [Read more…]
Back in May when I had the opportunity to attend the 2009 National Stationery Show, and write some posts about my experiences there, I mentioned that I got to meet Jac Zagoory, designer of some really nice pen holders and pens. After chatting with Jac a bit and inspecting his products I decided that it would be great to be able to do a review of some of his work, and he agreed to send a few samples my way so I could write about them. The following review … [Read more…]
My third and final post (read part 1 and part 2 here) in my review of products that I am hoping will help me to be more organized is on the Levenger Cubi Agenda Stand that is designed to hold the Levenger Junior Size Circa Notebook, which I am using to keep my daily planner in for 2009. As with all of the other Levenger products that I have purchased, I was impressed with the quality of materials and craftsmanship upon my initial inspection of this … [Read more…]
