Pentel Slicci Techo Mini Gel Ink Pen in Hand
The Pentel Slicci Techo Mini Gel Ink Pen is another item that was sent over compliments of Jetpens for this review. It is a mini pen that is great to put in your wallet (mostly long style women’s wallets) notebook, planner, or pocket.

As you can tell from the photo, the Pentel Slicci Techo Mini uses a slightly smaller version of the Slicci refill than the standard size pen. Personally I don’t think this is an issue since mini pens like this are not really suited for long term writing sessions. If you are going to be using this to jot down quick notes or write checks, even the smaller capacity refill should still last you quite a while.
One thing I really like about this pen is that every last part of the outside is made of metal. The body, clip, plunger, and nose cone are all metal and very solid feeling. I dont know what I was thinking when I ordered this rather bland copper color when they come in a bunch of other colors including a nice vibrant orange one.

We have reviewed a bunch of other Pentel Slicci variations here so so the excellent writing quality of this ink comes as no surprise As for the feel of the pen in your hand, as I said before mini pens like this (4.4″ long and .2″ in diameter) are not meant for lengthy writing sessions, but this one is definitely comfortable for the short writing sessions that I used it for, such as the half page of notes in the writing sample above. The metal clip is quite flexible so you should be able to attach this pen to even some of the thicker notebook covers out there, but it also feels pretty sturdy so you dont have to worry about snapping it off.
Overall, the Pentel Slicci Techo Mini Gel Ink Pen is a great choice for a compact pen that you would want to have in your purse, wallet, notebook or other small space. Not only is it good looking and a great writer but the all metal body should definitely hold up well if its in a tight spot in a bag or purse that might cause it to take a beating. Thanks again to the folks at Jetpens for sending this one over.
