Post It Index Cards in Two Sizes
A few weeks ago I was checking out my local Staples and these Post-it Index Cards caught my attention. I’ve never seen Post-it pads as index cards before, so I had to grab these to review. I can’t for the life of me find these on the Staples website, so if you are interested in them you can find both the small and large versions on Amazon.
Post It Padded Index Cards with Logos
As you can tell, these Post-it index cards come in two sizes. For some reason my picture here makes them look disproportional. On the top you see the smaller 3″x4″ and underneath that you can see the larger 3″x5″ versions. On the smaller version, the wide margin at the top of the card is just a hair smaller than on the 3″x5″, however the ruled lines on each version of the cards are a consistent 1/2″ each. Each card regardless of size also has the Post-it brand logo stamped on it, but it’s not in the same place every time. Some cards have it once and some have it twice. Personally Id prefer if they were all in the same spot, either the lower left or right corner. As for the thickness or weight of these, they are pretty much exactly what you would expect from a standard index card.
I was impressed when I did a test of the stickiness of the Post-it Index Cards. I applied and removed one card to a flat wooden surface over 50 times before there was a noticeable difference in the strength of the bond between the index card and the surface. I repeated the test on different areas of the wood surface to make sure it was picking up as much filth as possible. You could probably move it more than 50 times, but I thought that might be the limit of what someone would actually do with these.
Post It Sticky Index Cards Writing Sample
I tried a few different pens on these Post-it index cards, and they all did pretty well. I tried the Sharpie Pen, a Lamy Studio fountain pen, a Uniball Jetstream ballpoint pen, and a Uniball Gel RT, and while they all wrote smoothly with no feathering, bleed through, or show through, the drying times were pretty far off the charts. It took more than 15 seconds for all of the inks to dry without smearing.
Overall I think these Post-it Index Cards are pretty cool office supplies. Now I just have to figure out exactly what I’ll be these Post-it index cards for
