Almost all of the reviews I have read regarding Cooks Essential Cookware contain no negatives about the product, as survey after survey show that people are very satisfied with this cookware. However, for those who prefer to purchase items in a store, the fact that you can only get these items from one source is a bit of a negative factor, as the only way to purchase this Cookware is on QVC, a shopping network on television.
Most people agree that the cost of this cookware is very inexpensive. You can order a 10-piece set for under $200, including shipping and handling, while many other brands charge that much just for one piece of cookware. Two reviews did state that the cost of shipping and handling was more than they expected, but both individuals still wrote that this set is a great deal.
Many also concur that Cooks Essential Cookware is beautiful, as most of the reviews rave about how elegant the design looks. The regular stainless steel sets have clear lids, so that you can see how the contents of the cookware are cooking, and the handles and knobs are very easy to hold onto, so even people with arthritis rave about the set.
This cookware is also very well constructed. The sets are very heavy, and weight is a sign of a good set of cookware because it shows that they are more durable and will cook food more evenly. This weight is due to the fact that the pots and pans are made of heavy aluminum.
Another great feature of the Cooks Essential Cookware is the fact that it is virtually indestructible. These pieces are designed to be so sturdy that even if you accidentally drop them on a tile floor, they will not break. Another factor of why they are so durable is that the insides of each pot and pan are lined with Dupont Coating. This is so strong that it is safe for metal utensils. You cannot find this level of durability in regular non-stick pots and pans.
The best feature however, is that you can transfer items from the stovetop to the oven. This saves you room in the kitchen because you do not need one set of cookware for the oven and one set of cookware for the stovetop; you can use these for both. I only found one negative review, which states that it takes a long time to cook food in the oven. Everyone else says that they love the fact that these pots and pans give them so much flexibility in the kitchen. The regular stainless steel cookware can withstand temperatures up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and the stainless steel 500 can withstand temperatures up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
Overall, most people seem to greatly enjoy Cooks Essential Cookware, with the positive features vastly outweighing the negatives that some have found. Thanks to its relatively inexpensive price, beautiful styling, durability, and flexibility, this brand of cookware seems to be a very good value for the money.
