Back in May at the National Stationery Show, I got to visit with my friends from Whitelines who showed me some of their new products. One of them was this Whitelines Slim Squared Notebook. … [Read more…]
Good friend of this website, Brad from The Pen Addict and now with JetPens recently sent over some stuff for me to take a look at and review, including this awesome little “to do” notepad called the Maruman Mnemosyne Today’s Act Note Pad. I first saw the line of Maruman Mnemosyne notebooks when Brad did his first post about working from home in his new job with JetPens, and I knew that I had to eventually get one to give a try. The pen you … [Read more…]
A few weeks ago I did a review of an Oxford Meetingbook, that the nice folks from Oxford sent over to me, and if you remember I said that they sent me a bunch of cool products. This Keynotes product of theirs is by far my favorite that they sent over. … [Read more…]
One of my favorite notebooks is my Black n Red brand that I’ve reviewed and even include in the monthly giveaway. Oxford, the company that makes the Black n’ Red notebook also makes another line of awesome notebooks that they kindly sent over for me to review, so this will be the first of a few that you will see reviewed here. Unfortunately these are not available in the US, hopefully that will change at some point though because these are … [Read more…]
I’ve been feeling like a bit of a notebook snob lately so when I saw this Mead 100% Recycled notebook on Amazon, I thought Id check it out. Mead notebooks were pretty much the staple of my high school and college career, so I figured there had to be something good about them, right? … [Read more…]
For the longest time I have been meaning to review some of the Field Notes Brand items, and for whatever reason I’ve just never gotten around to it…until today. I finally picked up one of their notebooks, the brand new Field Notes Steno Pad that came out a few weeks ago. … [Read more…]
Normally I don’t like to review products that are not available in stores, so let me preface this review by saying that you shouldn’t head out to your local stationery store or start searching online for these, because you just wont find them anywhere. You can however enter to win one of two for your own, and also bug (“bug,” get it?) your favorite stationery retailer to special order them from Exaclair. When I saw the Clairefontaine Miniscule … [Read more…]
After my last experience with a Staples brand notebook, I was pretty reluctant to give them another shot, but when I saw this M by Staples black hard cover notebook, it reminded me so much of my Black n’ Red notebooks that I like so much, that I wanted to give it a try and see how it compared. This 8.5″ x 5.5″ notebook has a hard cover with 70 perforated, and college ruled sheets. … [Read more…]
One of the cool office supplies I got to get a look at when i was at the National Stationery Show were these new Whitelines notebooks with black cover Adding a black cover to a notebook doesn’t really make it much different, but it certainly makes these cool notebooks look even cooler. … [Read more…]
The 9 1/2″ x 6″ Staples Eco Friendly Notebook with Bagasse Paper from Staples caught my eye the other day when I was in the store. I’ve been accused of liking the “plain and simple” look for most things, and I think thats what caught my eye about this notebook. When I picked it up I saw that it was 80% composed of sugarcane waste (also called bagasse) and had some environmentally friendly water and vegetable based inks used to print on it. … [Read more…]
This is not my first review of Doane Paper, and it probably wont be my last. The reason for this is that the Doane Paper product quality and customer service are excellent. I originally learned of Doane Paper through The Pen Addict, where Brad always uses this paper to do his writing samples. This Idea Journal from Doane Paper is a new product that caught my eye the first time I saw it. I ordered one a few days ago so I could get some hands on … [Read more…]
The Behance dot grid is an alternative to the standard graph paper notebook because it aims to reduce the background noise of traditional graph paper by using subtle light gray dots instead of solid darker lines. I know that other notebook manufacturers have come out with similar items lately, and I’ll be sure to review those as well, however I’ve had this one sitting around long enough and I wanted to share it with you already. It seems like these are … [Read more…]

This environmentally friendly notebook was sent to me by O’BON a little while ago, and I’ve been a little slow in getting around to reviewing it. The unique thing about it is that the paper in it is made from sugar cane pulp which is also known as Bagasse. This green notebook can be found at the O’BON site here, along with many other green office supplies from them. … [Read more…]
Recently I had a comment on my first Uniball Signo 207 review regarding the drying time for this ink on different papers. When I went back and looked at the review, I realized that I never did any kind of test to see how quickly these pens dry. So Luis, here is an update to take a look at the Signo 207 on some different paper. … [Read more…]
