Rhodiarama Notebook with Turquoise Cover

Our friends over at Exaclair were recently kind enough to send over one of their Rhodiarama notebooks in Turquoise for us to review.  These are essentially the same as the Rhodia Webbies but they have a variety of different color covers.

Rhodiarama Cover Wrapper

As  you can see, this version of the Rhodiarama (as well as all of the other color versions) has a bright orange elastic strap that matches the usual Rhodia branding colors.  Just like with the other Rhodia Webbie notebooks I’ve tested, the elastic closure strap is actually quite strong.  I mention this because I’ve used other notebooks where the elastic closure becomes flimsy and loses its elasticity over time, so its nice to see the quality and attention to detail here.

The covers on the Rhodiarama notebooks are super soft to the touch, and you can see a bit of a pattern within the Italian Leatherette material.  Also, as with other Rhodia products, the brand name is embossed into the cover making for a nice but subtle reminder of who makes these great looking notebooks.

Rhodiarama Inside Covers

Each of the inside covers has a rather unique zebra print pattern and image that depicts a zebra with rainbow stripes.  For me this was an immediate reminder of the packaging of Fruit Stripes Gum from when I was much younger.  If you never had that gum, you aren’t missing anything, if I remember correctly the flavor was lost within seconds of chewing it.  Back to the cover of the Rhodiarama though.  The zebra stripe pattern is a nice unique touch, and there is also a back pocket which is just big enough to fit a 3″x5″ index card in it.

Rhodiarama Writing Sample Fountain Pen Friendly

Just like the Rhodia Webbie, the newer Rhodiarama notebooks handle fountain pen ink very well with their 90g paper.  There is no feathering or spreading that you will experience when writing on the super smooth ivory paper.  Additionally there is hardly any showthrough on the other side and definitely no bleeding to be found.

Rhodiarama notebook specifications:
