The Guinness Book of World Records has dubbed it the lightest telephone in the world. It weighs a mere 40 grams, measuring only 72 x 37 x 7.8 mm. If you want to be on the cutting edge of mobile telephone technology, you would want to opt for this telephone.

The phone that will ship this spring comes with four jackets or skins, which you can use to change the phone’s look and feel. For instance if you use the Modu Classic skin, you get a slider phone with a large screen. Modu Night adds the camera function. They other two skins available are Modu Express and Modu Street Art if style is your concern.

Haier Elegance

This phone was regarded as the world’s smallest telephone before Modu made its appeareance. Measuring 9.1 x 3.5 x 1.8 cm, it’s among the smallest cell phones in the market. You can expect most of the features offered by a full-sized mobile telephone. You can expect a MP3 player, FM radio, Bluetooth capability and cool ringtones. Talk time extends up to 3 hours. It comes with a built-in memory of 128 MB, but with an expansion option of up to 1.126 GB via a Micro SD card.

NEC N930

Although this phone is heavier than Modu, it’s measurement is impressive – 85.5 x 54 x 11.9 mm. Despite its ultra-compact size, you have SMS capability and you can snap photos and play games. What’s more, Touchscreen and Bluetooth are supported. The stylish look would also make those around you sit up and take notice. The telephone also allows you to record video. But then continuous use of this feature would drain your battery power, which provides a talk time of up to two hours only.

Samsung SGH-E888

This telephone has more than twice the weight of Modu. However, it’s still recognized as the smallest in the world by some cell phone users although it measures 87 x 47 x 23 mm. This is because it’s more frequently used than other models. It manages to squeeze in a 2MP camera with the ability to rotate 180 degrees, useful for self-portraits.
