Smoked fish is such a versatile ingredient in the kitchen. It makes great, flavourful soups, stews, chowders, breakfasts, main meals – its uses are endless in all manner of fish recipes.
Smoked fish is also healthy if like most foods, you dont eat too much. Smoked oily fish (mackerel, salmon, tuna) have omega-3 fatty acids in them which are good for the heart and the brain.
You will see that most smoked fish recipes are relatively quick, so take a search around online and see what delicious things you can conjure up in the kitchen with the help of some smoked fish!
Visit your local supermarket fish counter, or village fishmonger for the basis of your meal, and also ask them for advice on recipe ideas.
They’re a knowledgeable lot!
