Festival season is beginning with the return of Coachella festival in LA. They may be blessed with hot weather, but for British festivals you may have to be a bit more covered up with men’s jeans.
Our British summertime is notoriously unpredictable so it can be difficult to pack a capsule festival wardrobe. Allow us to take the stress out of packing and help you to cover all possibilities with our festival fashion checklist.
T-shirts are a staple piece that will go with everything whether it is shorts or jeans. Look out for band print motifs and bold slogan tees that will make you stand out from the crowd.
Hoodies will keep you warm day and night, and at £25 they’re an affordable piece for your festival wardrobe. Embrace summer’s bright shades with a jersey hoodie in vibrant shades of red, green or blue.
Plimsolls are your perfect shoes if it’s not too muddy – casual, stylish and from £16 a pair you won’t mind too much if they get a bit battered.
Jeans are your staple that will work whatever the weather. From your classic slouch jeans in blue, black or grey to skinny jeans, these can be worn day in, day out for easy festival style. For a more colourful look try some skinny jeans in bright tones – red, yellow, emerald green and teal are all available at River Island.
Add your finishing touches – sunglasses, a hat and some shorts, and you’re festival ready!
