Las Vegas is the capital of F-U-N. If you want entertainment in its raw but very appealing form, then you should definitely put Las Vegas on top of your travel list. From a city at the middle of a desert, it’s quite absurd to expect a real paradise, is it not? But this one is definitely paradise at its best – from its five-star hotels, elegant restaurants, bars, clubs, cafes, and casinos – just name it, Las Vegas has it.
Rides – Las Vegas Style
Of course you can take a cab to get around the city. Better yet, rent a limousine and make the most of your exploration. However, it will be best if you try some rides that are quite peculiar. Foremost of which are the Gondola rides. The ride is just perfect for couples who are on for a romantic journey and for singles who want to get the best relaxation break that anyone can ever aspire for.
Gondola rides will take you down the Grand Canal. You will get a glimpse of the multitude of cafes and restaurants and go past other boats and under bridges. Although the best rides would probably be during the night, you can get a Gondola ride anytime you deem fitting between 10 in the morning and 11 in the evening.
Aside from the Gondolas, another atypical yet exciting ride that you shouldn’t miss is that of the “Big Shot at the Stratosphere”. Head for the stratosphere hotel and gather all the guts and courage that you can muster. For just $13, you can get a ride that will shoot you way up high – 160 feet – into the air in just a couple of seconds.
Peculiar Sites to Feast Upon
You have seen people dance haven’t you? But have you witnessed lights and water dancing with them? If not, then you should head for the Dancing Fountains at Las Vegas’ Bellagio. The 8-acre lake offers more than a thousand fountains that shoot water up to 220 feet up high in the air. What’s more is that the water “shoots” are choreographed and synchronized with the dance movements of artists and the sounds created by Frank Sinatra.
If the “dancing” water is not enough to bring you into awe, then you might as well head towards the Las Vegas attraction for kids – at age and at heart. This is the M&M’s World Las Vegas that’s nestled in the Showcase Mall of Las Vegas Boulevard. The place is a four story entertainment area that is filled with M&M dispensers of various shapes and sizes. Some of the M&M colors and designs that are offered within the venue are not marketed worldwide so you will definitely be surprised. M&M’s World also has a free 3D movie that the children will enjoy.
Another atypical Las Vegas offer is the Madame Tussaud’s Las Vegas Wax Museum. The place may be a bit eerie and creepy but it sure is mesmerizing. The place offers life size wax figures of various notable personalities. It even includes wax effigies of celebrities such as John Wayne, Brad Pitt, Madonna, and Britney Spears. If you want to stop by and take pictures of your icons, then pass by that walkway where the Venetian and the Strip are located as well.
