In this “on-the-go” society in which we live, many of us depend on eating out. Because many of us also have to watch our budgets (and the clock), we end up eating at drive-through and fast food restaurants quite often because they can help us save both time and money.

McDonald’s
When many of us think of fast food, McDonald’s often is the first to enter our minds, and for good reason. McDonald’s, which first opened in 1955, has grown into an international staple, with thousands of restaurants serving billions of hamburgers all over the world. McDonald’s, with its Golden Arches, clean restaurants, good service, and consistent food, is something of an American icon.
McDonald’s is not only noted for its popularity, international omnipresence, and growing menu (many items becoming more health conscious as the years go on), but also its major contributions to good and charitable causes.

Want to “have it your way”? Then go to Burger King, where flame-broiled hamburgers – including the Whopper, Burger King’s trademark hamburger – rule. Burger King offers French fries and several chicken-based sandwiches. $5 can buy a Whopper, small French fry, and medium soft drink.
Burger King is currently in the process of updating thousands of the chain’s locations. A major aspect of the renovation includes giving the restaurants’ dining rooms a more urban, futuristic interior.

Wendy’s
Wendy’s restaurants prides itself on its “old-fashioned hamburgers.” Wendy’s “trademark” is not a sandwich but, rather, what goes on their sandwiches: square hamburger patties.
Wendy’s fast food offerings are slightly different than you find with McDonald’s and Burger King. At Wendy’s you can order a broad range of hamburger and chicken sandwiches. Instead of being limited to only French fries for a side item, you have baked potatoes, chili, fruit cups, and salads – all included as side item options with combo meals.

Kentucky Fried Chicken
We may not know the exact combination of Colonel Sander’s eleven herbs and spices that go into Kentucky Fried Chicken’s chicken, but we certainly know one thing: that chicken is delicious!
Kentucky Fried Chicken, or “KFC,” is an American favorite for chicken dinners that include mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, baked beans, corn on the cob, fluffy biscuits, cake and parfaits, and nice cold drinks.
