Our friends at Baron Fig do a great job of keeping up stocked with their products so we can share them with you, so today I wanted to take a quick look at their weekly desktop notepad called the Mastermind (via the Baron Fig website).
The Baron Fig Mastermind weekly desktop notepad measures 11″ x 3″ and comes in a pack of 3. Each of the 3 pads within a package contains 18 sheets for a total of 54, which is enough for a year and 2 weeks, obviously. I should note that these are NOT sticky on the back, just simple sheets of paper that rip off at the top with no adhesive.
Each of the week days (except for Friday) measure 2-3/16″ x 2-3/4″ with Friday and Saturday/Sunday getting the shaft a bit on space. Saturday and Sunday pretty much get the brunt of the space saving carnage. I guess that makes sense for a product that is supposed to get you through the work week though.
Some quick writing samples with fountain pen ink, a Uniball Jetstream, and a Uniball Kuru Toga mechanical pencil all went well. There was no show-through on the reverse side with the fountain pen ink, although it doesn’t really matter since you probably aren’t going to use the other side. As for the eraser test on Monday, the paper held up well with no ripping or deterioration of the paper. As always with Baron Fig, this weekly desktop notepad, the Mastermind is a well done and high quality product. Thanks as always to them for sharing this with us and with our great readers!
