Healthy bread is the talk of the town at the moment. Which bread is healthy and which bread isn’t healthy? Everybody wants to know. Perhaps more important though, is to understand the valid wellbeing reasons to eat bread.

Bread is a key source of energy and without it, simply put, the body cannot function properly. Energy is a vital component of staying alive. It is essentially body fuel. All those things we love to do; play football, go dancing, jogging, and even waking up in the morning, they all require energy. Bread is a great supplier of energy, so it is important to eat a decent amount in any balanced diet.

In addition healthy bread is a fantastic place for your body to find its necessary fibre. Fibre is a truly important part of any ones diet as it keeps your digestive system in check. Having a well run digestive system is essential for anybody who does not want their day disrupted by poor bowel movement, which can really ruin anything and cares little for good timing. Fibre also helps regulate your blood sugar levels, which can help prevent hypoglycaemia, lack of fibre can lead to severe symptoms. It can also help regulate blood cholesterol levels, which can help prevent heart disease. All really important stuff. Finally, fibre helps your body feel fuller for longer, this means you will be less inclined to snack and everyone knows over-snacking is a one-way ticket to an unbalanced diet.
