You searched for colored staples

We have tried multiple times here to find some colored staples that actually work and hold the color on the staples once they are actually stapled with.  As you can see in some of our previous reviews here and here you can see that colored staples tend to have the color flake off once you actually use them.  Before we go much further into our review of these Max Colored Staples, I want to mention that these were sent to us free of charge from our friends … [Read more…]

Three years ago we reviewed some colored staples by Swingline and the results were pretty bad.  Since it has been so long it seemed like a good idea to try and seek out some other colored staples that might perform better.  Today we are taking a look at the colored staples offered by Officemate. … [Read more…]

A few weeks ago, one of my loyal readers, @DIYSara asked me if I had ever tried any of the colored staples out there and unfortunately I had to tell her no.  I didn’t like not having an answer for her so I went on over to Google to start searching to see what I could find in terms of colored staples.  My results landed me on Amazon.com where I found these Swingline Color Bright Colored Staples.  I never thought I would find myself doing a review of staples … [Read more…]

A while back I saw these 14K Gold Plated Staples and mentioned them in a post, and I had a few people mention that they wanted to see a review.  Who am I to deprive people of their review of some opulent gold plated office supplies like these?  So here they are, presented in a nice black velvet jewelry box.  You are looking at 25 (labeled as 24, but I counted 3 times) 14K gold plated staples.  The first question most people have will be the price, so … [Read more…]

Don’t worry, reading the headline for this post may lead you to think I’ve lost my mind, but that was a quote that caught my attention the other day when watching TV.  It was a quote from the above NY Lotto commercial, which is pretty funny if you watch it.  Hearing a voice say “I only buy solid gold staples” is certainly something that will grab my attention, so after I realized what it was, it still made me want to do some research to see if such a thing … [Read more…]

We have never reviewed loose leaf refill paper before, mostly because its usually such a generic item without any special features.  In this case though, the Staples Reinforced Filler Paper with Graph Ruling and 3 Hole Punches (via Staples, obviously) has a pretty cool feature that sets it apart from most loose leaf refill paper.  Oh and on top of this, we have also had requests for more reviews of graph paper, so for those that have asked hopefully this … [Read more…]

We frequently get asked about Staples Arc and Levenger Circa Compatible accessories and if they fit each other, so I thought this post would be helpful to quickly and decisively answer that question.  My Levenger Circa Tech Foldover was a recent purchase that I made so I could always have my tablet handy along with my analog notes, but I wanted to add some accessories to customize it a bit.  With my preference for things that are all black I was having a … [Read more…]

The 9 1/2″ x 6″ Staples Eco Friendly Notebook with Bagasse Paper from Staples caught my eye the other day when I was in the store.  I’ve been accused of liking the “plain and simple” look for most things, and I think thats what caught my eye about this notebook.  When I picked it up I saw that it was 80% composed of sugarcane waste (also called bagasse) and had some environmentally friendly water and vegetable based inks used to print on it. … [Read more…]

One of the most often used and easily recognized office supplies has to be the standard binder clip.  They are right up there with duct tape in terms of the many uses (intended and unintended) that have been found for them.  I dont think there is an office anywhere in the world that doesnt have a box of these or a hand full of them in use somewhere.  For as long as I can remember, binder clips have pretty much been unchanged in how they were made, just two … [Read more…]

I’ve reviewed a ton of Field Notes journals and notebooks in the past, so this will probably be more of a pictorial type review. I signed up for the Field Notes Quarterly Subscription last quarter and I was so glad I did once I saw this new Lunacy edition announced.  The Field Notes Lunacy (buy via Field Notes) edition is the first die cut cover they have ever done, and it shows the advancing phases of the moon. … [Read more…]

The other day we reviewed some colored staples that surprised us by not having their color flake off, and mentioned that we would follow up with a review of the unique stapler we used with them.  Today we have that review of the Sun-Star Stickyle Pen-Stye Stapler.  That’s a huge mouthful.  Again, this is a sample product from our friends at JetPens that was given to us free of charge for this review. … [Read more…]

For the second year in a row, I was really impressed by the setup and products at the Rustico booth at the National Stationery Show.  This is the first time I’m reviewing one of their products though, because their Artifact Leather Pocket Notebook (via the Rustico site) is honestly just awesome! … [Read more…]

Friend, fellow blogger, and purveyor of fine stationery items, Brad kindly sent over some of his new Nock Co. DotDash Pocket Notebooks (via Nock Co) recently for us to take a look at and review.  The super bright an sunny yellow covers with the orange and copper-ish colored Nock Co. logo are a great contrast to the super cold weather we have here in the north east today. … [Read more…]

The Field Notes Ambition Edition (via Field Notes) is the newest Colors Edition for Winter 2014.  The two things that make this set unique are the gilded edges and the fact that each of the three journals in this set have different formats.  The three different page formats for the pages are a weekly calendar, grid, and a general ledger layout.  For easy identification you will also see that each different format has a different color cover. … [Read more…]

I don’t remember exactly how I stumbled over these EcoQua Pocket Notebooks by Fabriano on Amazon, but it was completely random and I was not actively looking for any new notebooks at the time.  Something about the bright colored covers and the “Made in Italy” designation caught my eye though and I ended up with a package of these in my shopping cart before I knew it. … [Read more…]
