Last week we looked at the Pelikan Edelstein Turmaline Ink, and today we have one more color in the fantastic line of Pelikan Edelstein Inks, which is the Pelikan Edelstein Amber Fountain Pen Ink, which is also their special 2013 Ink of the year. … [Read more…]

I’ve been a huge fan of the Pelikan Edelstein Line of premium fountain pen ink ever since I started using it back in 2011 when I picked up the Adventurine Green color.  Today we are taking a look at the 2012 Ink of the year, Pelikan Edelstein Turmaline, which is kind of a bright pink color.  For the record, this bottle was purchased with no discount or consideration from our friends at Goldspot, I just felt like buying it myself and did not feel like being … [Read more…]

The premium line of Pelikan Fountain Pen ink, branded with the name Edelstein has been an instant favorite ever since I first tried the Aventurine color back in early 2011.  I recently saw on the Goldspot.com website that they came out with a new color, Tanzanite which is essentially a blue black shade…so now we have one of my favorite inks also in my favorite color, making it a no brainer of a purchase.  For full disclosure this purchase came with a … [Read more…]

Having used my Pelikan Edelstein Aventurine Green fountain pen ink for a while, I was itching to get my hands on one of their blues.  After a bit of research I decided on the Pelikan Edelstein Fountain Pen Ink in Topaz.  I decided on the Topaz because I felt that other than black, it was probably the most day-to-day business friendly color, that still has some character to it. … [Read more…]

Back in October when I went to the Goldspot Trunk Show, I saw the new Pelikan Edelstein Ink for the first time in person, and I heard good things about it so I figured I would pick some up.  I decided to grab the Aventurine Green, which is a really nice Jade green color.  I like the little added touch on the right hand side of the box above where you see the semi elliptical shape that is somewhat indented on the corner of the box that indicates the ink … [Read more…]

Our friends over at Goldspot recently provided us with a sweet new Pelikan Souveran M805 Stresemann Anthracite for review.  You can check out their stock of the M805 Souveran Stresemann here.  I’m going to start off by apologizing for the number of pictures in this review though because I couldn’t stop taking pictures of this pen, I think its pretty amazing looking.  The picture above is just the box that the Stresemann comes in, kinda looks like a … [Read more…]

It’s been a while since I did some shopping at Levenger, so these Levenger Circa Week’s End Notebook Refills (via Levenger) were new to me and I wanted to grab some to see if they would help me plan a bit better for the weekends. … [Read more…]

For the second year in a row, I was really impressed by the setup and products at the Rustico booth at the National Stationery Show.  This is the first time I’m reviewing one of their products though, because their Artifact Leather Pocket Notebook (via the Rustico site) is honestly just awesome! … [Read more…]

I hate to share stuff thats hard to find/buy online, but when I found this Figurare Concept Flow Notebook it really jumped out at me as an item I had to review.  I did some checking around and I can’t even find this notebook on the usual sites like Amazon or JetPens, so apologies in advance for that.  I was able to grab this at the Kinokuniya store near my office in NYC where they have a huge selection of great Japanese stationery items.  If you are ever … [Read more…]

I’m thrilled to say that we have 9 out of 10 of our prize winners claiming their prizes.  We only have one winner that has not stepped up to claim their prize, but we did also have two small snags that play out like this: 1.  We had one “winner” leave a comment claiming a prize, but they were not on the list as a winner so their comment was removed. 2. Keith left a comment claimingn the Pelikan Edelstein Amber, however it wasn’t until I combed … [Read more…]

When I walked into the Kinokuniya store near my office in NYC a few weeks ago, I wasn’t expecting to pick up a new notebook, but when I came across the Apica Premium C.D. Notebook that changed almost immediately.  Although I grabbed this from Kinokuniya in person, you can also find them via Amazon and via JetPens.  For whatever reason the Black version is about $1.00 cheaper than the blue on Amazon. … [Read more…]

Our friends over at Goldspont sent us this sample of Mont Blanc Oyster Grey fountain pen ink (find it here at Goldspot) for review, and for some reason I’ve really enjoyed using grey inks so I was excited to get my hands on this one.  The elegant and highly functional glass bottle alone puts the ink on par with the Pelikan Edelstein and Caran d’Ache lines of ink for presentation alone. On my initial glance, the Mont Blanc Oyster Grey fountain pen … [Read more…]
