Sticky Note Dispenser Zip Notes in Blue
A few weeks ago I mentioned the Zip Notes sticky note dispenser in the monthly news letter, and usually when I mention stuff in there, I don’t typically do a review of it here. Curiosity got the best of me though, so I ordered one up from Amazon and today we have a review of it.
Inside the Zip Notes Sticky Note Dispenser
The concept is pretty simple, this sticky note dispenser comes with a giant roll of sticky note paper inside it, wrapped around a cylinder with a small electric motor that drives it. A simple push of the button delivers the paper through a slot, the longer you hold the button, the longer your paper is. A quick flick of the wrist rips the paper off on a metal cutting bar tucked inside the plastic body, and now you have your custom length sticky note. Pretty simple concept, and its executed pretty well here. The mechanism is pretty quiet, so you don’t have to worry too much about disturbing your co-workers, and it has a fairly small footprint so unless you have a super small desk, you should have space for this with no problem.
Here is a short video to give you an idea how it works. I was pretty impressed with how simple it operated, and the paper was easy to write on with most pens that I tried. I didn’t get any skipping where there might be some sticky residue on the paper either which is always something I’m concerned with. The Zip Notes dispenser comes with two AA batteries, and a 150 ft roll of 3″ wide sticky note paper. This is the equivalent to about 600 standard sticky notes. The adhesive on these runs lengthwise down the center of the paper in a strip that is about 1/3″ wide, which helps to prevent curling. I like the idea of having sticky notes of any size, and if you know someone who relies on these to keep organized, then the Zip Notes sticky note dispenser might be the perfect holiday (yes, I know, its not even Thanksgiving yet) gift or stocking stuffer for them.
